Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid Transfer Ban Will Keep Them from Hunting for 2 Windows

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid both have been banned form players’ registration between 2016 February and the summer of 2017. The severe punishment was given by FIFA’s disciplinary committee because of breaching regulations governing the under aged players’ transfers.

According to Fifa’s statement: “The two clubs were found to have violated several provisions concerning the international transfer and first registration of minor players as well as other relevant provisions with regard to the registration and participation of certain players in competitions. Additionally, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have been fined CHF 900,000 and CHF 360,000 respectively, while both clubs have been issued with a reprimand and given 90 days in which to regularize the situation of all minor players concerned.”

The Real Madrid transfer ban was a result of transfer related actions of the club which did not follow the regulations of FIFA. Between the period of 2005-2014 the rules believed to have broken in the case of  50 players roughly, including the children of the current coach Zinedine Zidane – Enzo, Luca, Theo and Eliaz.
