Fans Want to Bet on Super Bowl in the US

American Gaming Association (AGA) has just conducted a research about the attitude of people who bet on Super Bowl in the US. They found that 80% of Super Bowl fans would like the current laws to be changed. 

The research was conducted by The Mellman Group – an opinion research firm – including 800 interviews with female and male adults roughly equal numbers. The results has revealed remarkable reactions about the ways to bet on Super Bowl in the US.

  • 67% of Super Bowl viewers say that they watch a game if they have taken their bets on it, 53% say betting makes the game more enjoyable, and 55% believe betting makes them follow teams and players.

  • 65% of the respondents believe regulated sports betting would strengthen the integrity of games.

  • 72% of Super Bowl viewers think if states allowed regulated sports betting, it would be safer for costumers.

Mark Mellman’s pollsters revealed that there is massive support on state regulatory in terms of gambling is obvious among Super Bowl viewers.

Based on the estimations of the AGA, $4.2 billion will be wagered on Super Bowl 50 between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers.  The firm calculated that only 3% of the money will be bet on legally, due to the illegally operating offshore sportsbooks and bookmakers. The rest of the wagers will be taken through under these unlawful circumstances, since federal law is opposed to online sports betting in the states, except Nevada.
