Could Neymar Return to Barcelona After All?

Neymar

Neymar discusses his reunion with former Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez, which has immediately prompted question about a move back to the Nou Camp.

Will Neymar stay at Parc des Princes to be crowned the king?

Brazil and Uruguay played a friendly international last Friday at the Emirates Stadium, which saw the
match end with a 1-0 victory for the former with Neymar converting a penalty in the 76 minute of
the game.

When asked post-match about his relationship with Barcelona striker Luis Suarez, Neymar showered
his former teammate with abundant praise by highlighting the incredible friendship that the pair
share in football, according to football betting sites in Brazil.

“Luis Suarez is phenomenal and I wish him nothing but the best,” said the Brazilian superstar. “The
reunion (with Suarez) went well. I was his teammate at Barcelona. Luis Suarez is also one of the best
friends I have in football. I love him a lot, he’d phenomenal.”

The pair swapped shirts after the match, an act that Neymar says has been a norm between them
for years. The gesture has immediately prompted the media to speculate about Neymar’s future at
PSG and whether he could be returning back to Barcelona in a sensational move, especially
considering the amount of praise he has bestowed on Suarez.

“During the years we’re always swapped shirts and we still have a great friendship. We’re huge
friends and I always wish him the best. He’s a person I care about.”

Neymar and Suarez spent 3 years together at the Nou Camp where, together with Lionel Messi, they
formed one of the most fearsome strike partnerships in the history of the sport. The trio (while
together) won the treble in 2014/15, as they won the Spanish league, Copa del Rey and the
Champions League.

Since joining the French side for a world-record fee of €222m in the summer of 2017, Neymar has
had to share the attacking and goalscoring duties with Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe. BY his
own admission, one of the main reasons as to why he chose to leave Barcelona in the first place was
so that he could be the main star of a team, as he couldn’t do so with Messi in the squad.
Unfortunately for his case, that hasn’t really played out the way he had hoped.

Cavani is firing on all cylinders whenever he touches the ball while Mbappe is becoming a more
lethal player in front of goal with every match that he plays, per online football betting sites in
France. The Brazilian star was on course to hit the 30-goal mark last season for PSG (he scored 28
goals across all competitions), but his efforts were cut short after suffering an injury that ruled him
out for the remainder of the season.

This season he already has 13 strikes to his name, so he’s level with Mbappe, while Cavani has
bagged 9 goals so far. We’re sure that if it weren’t for the Uruguayan’s presence in the team,
Neymar would be hitting the back of the net far more. And considering that he’d the world’s most
expensive football player and PSG’s sweetheart, we could see him influencing the club to possibly
sell off Cavani in for him numbers to go up.
