The 29-year-old sportsman was signed from Japan prior to the 2012 term.

According to the latest online gambling news, The accusation claimed that the brother took about 1,850 bets on MLB games and on professional baseball games in the “Land of the Rising Sun’ and North America. The process of the arrest itself was more than a year-long drama.

It has not been clarified yet whether bet on baseball in the USA –  or more precisely the Rangers –  was involved in the allegations, however according to the Japanese authorities, the baseball player cannot be connected with the issue.

Baseball betting in the USA is under the supervision of MLB who takes every possible gambling issue very seriously. Therefore they claimed that they would initiate the investigation of any players who has involved in the same situation.

In his statement issued last week, Darvish mentioned that he knew he would be cleared at the end, and the only thing he was focusing currently was the forthcoming season for which he wants to get ready.

Due to his ligament replacement surgery he was forced to be absent from the last season, and since he is not ready to return for the forthcoming season, he is due to play again in early summer, around May.
